Car Registration

I decided to take the quick route to get my car legal and hired an agent. I still had to go in person and prove my identity to the Minister of Traffic Affairs. Here’s what it looks like – a DMV or MVA anywhere in the world:

Where are all the people, Sarah? I count at least a dozen empty chairs and I don’t see any Mom with about a half dozen screaming, undisciplined kids! Certainly looks to be a better set up than the Virginia DMVs I’ve been to thus far! (ha ha) BTW: Which side of the road do they drive on in Turkey?

    • I know – it is kind of empty. It’s August, when most people leave the city, and Ramazan, where a lot of people are fasting, so it wasn’t nearly as crowded as you’d expect. Still, I was pretty happy to just go in, show my various IDs, and sign some stuff. It would have taken me hours to figure out which number to pull and which line to stand in!
