About

I’m an Olmsted Scholar embarked on the adventure of a lifetime: living in Turkey for two and a half years.  My goals are to immerse myself in the language (Turkish) and the culture in order to develop a deeper understanding of the region.  I’ll do this while working on a Master’s degree and traveling throughout Turkey, its surroundings, and some old Ottoman haunts.

If you have any questions about Turkey or the region, please feel free to contact me.

If you’re interested in upcoming trips, just contact me and I’ll provide the password.

Hello – I am interested in a redwood forest photograph on your site where you hiked in Kızilcahamam. “…Basically, the area is known for its redwood trees and its hot springs and was so named. The trees didn’t even come close to reminding me of California’s redwood forests…”
I am an indie filmmaker in Los Angeles and would like to know if you would consider giving permission for it to be used in a shot in our movie. It would be part of a composite image which I can send you to show how it would be used. Thank you. Adrian
